Rebecca Chaimovitch

Rebecca Chaimovitch holds a Master of Music in vocal performance from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance from SUNY Geneseo. Her teaching experience includes over 25 years as a private vocal and piano instructor for beginner to advanced students, five years as a Teaching Assistant in voice and music theory at UConn, and over 17 years as an early childhood music instructor. She is a Certified Music Together teacher and the Assistant Director of Arts From the Heart, which features the nationally recognized Music Together Music and Movement program.

Rebecca has given numerous solo vocal recitals and has held leads in several operas including, Madame Goldentrill in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone. Honors include a full scholarship to UConn; winner, Amici Vocal Competition; and member, Pi Kappa Lambda, International Music Honor Society.

Rebecca has been a clinician for several public schools and has adjudicated the All State and Regional Competitions for the Connecticut Music Educators Association for five years. She has served as a featured soloist for Christ Church Cathedral and Asylum Hill Congregational Church, both in Hartford, Conn.
